General Music

Students are taught through a variety of projects such as audio visual and hands-on activities in order to gain musical skills and appreciation for various types of music. All instruction is in alignment with the Illinois Arts Learning Standards.

Choir

In addition to General Music and Band, students in grades 5^th - 8^th have the oppourtunity to participate in our All District Choir.

Band

Hazel Crest School District 152 1/2 provides the opportunity for students in grades 4^th - 8^th to participate in the band program. The focus of the band is to provide basic fundamental musical knowledge and skills using various instruments. Participation in the band program provides students the chance to perform in events such as concerts, fairs, and school assemblies.
