Welcome to Warren Palm

All students will take active roles in achieving academic success in a nurturing environment where literacy, math, science and technology provides the educational foundation for all teaching and learning. The academic environment will challenge students to reach their fullest potential and prepare them to become productive citizens.

At Warren Palm Elementary School, we believe that all children can and will learn. To ensure that all children will reach their potential....

We will maintain high expectations and provide quality and rigorous instruction in all subject areas.

We will create and support a school environment in which all children and adults feel welcomed, respected, trusted, and an important part of the school.

We will create an environment that commits to the collaborative involvement of all stakeholders, where we can learn together and support each other.

We will foster a positive school climate of a caring community which respects and values diversity and nurtures everyone's self-esteem.

Veronica Robinson
Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back! I hope everyone had an awesome summer relaxing, reflecting and spending quality time with family and friends. I am privileged to have the opportunity to return this school year as your Principal. I anticipate an exciting year as we collectively strive to foster a culture of learning that will address the vision and mission of Warren Palm School and Hazel Crest District 152 ½. I feel extremely honored to be working with such an exceptional group of students, families, and staff members.

Throughout the summer, teachers and administrators have participated in professional development trainings and are prepared to implement many new strategies to differentiate the instruction for all of our students’ needs. Teachers have also been working on curricula projects to continue our alignment with Common Core Standards and to ensure that we maximize student growth and learning.

Our goal this year is to continue to provide our students with a safe and welcoming environment where every child is valued and will experience continuous improvement in learning. My staff and I will provide our students with rigorous instruction and lessons that will prepare them to be college and career ready individuals. In addition, we will strive to motivate and promote excellent students' attendance. For we know that when students are absent, the needed skills and strategies that enhance learning are lost.

The elementary years of learning are critical times of development for students and parents and I am truly excited about the partnership that the school, home and other stakeholders will build, working together to insure that success and goals are met. As an administrator I strongly believe in academic excellence, as well as providing students with a learning atmosphere that is interesting, fun, challenging and rewarding for each child.

My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet! 708-335-0224/[email protected]

I look forward to seeing many new and familiar faces on our first full day of school:
